yeah, like anyone is surprised about that...

Oh! And Punkin' (thats the name I gave the cat I met in the last post) is going to be okay :) They found the owners and they're getting her all fixed up and stuff :) So, I feel much better now. And I'll feel much better once I'm on the other side of Friday, which is hugemongous brain-eating chem test number two. Also the day after my birthday, oh boy, guess what I'm doing to celebrate? Studying my ass off about sums it up. Just takin' a break right now working on my crim paper before going back to chem again. *sigh* And half-watching the Wizard of Oz for the fourth time this weekend (Fuzzy bought me the 3-disk special collectors edition and ohmygod was that a mistake, he'll have the movie memorized with me in about 3 more days. He's already started calling me mowiss instead of mouse because thats how Lion says it when is says "be a lion not a mowiss... if I on'y had the noive".) Also, why is that there are two versions of information on DNA fingerprinting for forensic purposes... the really effing dense version with lots of words I don't even know, and the really dumbed down "DNA is the instructions for buildin you versions? This is the huge problem with the sciences, seriously.... they assume you're either one of them, or a total fucking moron. I register soon, by the way, and I'm planning to take Chem 110 (the second semester of gen chem), Organic Chem, and Biometry (which is pretty much a fancy way of saying statistics.) I'm also planning on taking Aikido, but that doesn't really have anything to do with school.

Oh, and Pyewacket fell spectacularly today... it was hilarious, because she was a huge flurry of blurry, flailing kitty limbs... the absolute dearth of grace embodied in a black fur coat. I've been calling her grace all day. That brings her list of knicknames up to: Pyepye, shitstorm, Chicago (the windy kitty), holy terror #3, furry wee beastie, and grace. Ah, our furry children... good for endless hours of enjoyment.

Have I mentioned how much I love this movie? And that I've seen it like a bagillion times? And seriously? I've always wanted a pair of shoes just like the ruby slippers, and I've never been able to figure out the whole skipping thing they do... And I've always kind of thought Glinda was an asshole for not telling her about the shoes in the first place and getting the Wicked Witched all pissy at her over them. And I totally love Burt Lahr, and they way his dancing looks because of the way the costume goes down to his knees. *sigh* My inner child is verrry happy sitting here watching it over and over again. I watched it a lot when my mom got me the video when I was ten and played Dorothy in a play at the community center.

okay... gotta get back to work, dammit...
