life is good

So life is still good and I'm still losing weight. I haven't lost that much more pound wise, but I'm officially two sizes smaller than I was a few short weeks ago, down to the size I was when I was in high school, which is effing fantastic, and I had to go buy some new clothes, to celebrate, help motivate me to go farther, and because my pants were getting too big to just use a belt. Chris is for sure starting to notice and show some enthusiasm, in his subtle way, which is really nice. I know he loves me no matter how much I weigh (which is the most priceless gift of all), but now he's starting to get really excited about me. Considering he normally wouldn't notice if I put underwear on my head and started talking like the swedish chef, this is an improvement.

Classes are still going awesome, and I'm really enjoying school more than I ever have. I'm also planning to go to Costa Rica this summer for a primate field research course in the rain forest. I'll be studying capuchins, howler monkeys, and spider monkeys, which is really exciting. It means tons of nasty vaccines and stuff, but I'm convinced it's going to be worth it. Right now I'm in the middle of being vaccinated for typhoid, which I don't recommend unless you absolutely need it. It's four pills containing live typhoid bacteria, just a really weak strain of it, so that you launch an immune response and wont catch the gnarly version. So yeah, I'm intentionally infecting myself with typhoid, and even though its a really really weak version it still sucks ass. It gives me a horrible headache where my head hurts every time I move it, plus its making my body ache and my lower abdomen hurt. It's getting less severe as time goes on, though, so at least thats a plus.

I'm also gonna take my mom to Toronto this summer so we can check out UT and the city and all that. My sisters going to come too, which will be nice. She's been out of the US on a cruise before, but this will be her first time actually staying out of the country for any length of time, and I think she'll enjoy it.
